Lament the Trainer predicament (Tuesday, 25 October 2011 By Guruvantage Team)
‘Lament the Trainer predicament’
Here’s hoping that I would get a call from a certified freelance trainer of SWIFT NET once this write-up is live!
And, indeed, if this is what it takes to scout for trainers in the other ‘hard-to-find’ skill areas, I wonder if I should already give up! Alternately, having wizened after my harrowing experiences of identifying the right trainer for the right audience, I could easily give a few pointers to the Delhi Police on how to zero-in on the ‘Right suspect’ as well.
After multiple gruelling and exhaustive sessions of google‘ing’, Bing‘ing’, yahoo search ‘ing’ and other competitive domestic search sites failed to provide the desired results, I resorted to the time tested word-of-mouth communication. However, even that proved futile. Not ready to succumb yet, subsequent assaults even led me to various HR Forums, bookmarking sites, blogs, review sites as also internet groups, but all in vain. Does the breed of freelance trainers not tread the internet alleys?? I have self-consoled myself in believing so.
As the corporate presence in India seems to be on an unprecedented upswing there will surely be a need for the niche skill sets in the days to come. As more multi-national organisations make way into the Indian corporate bazaar, there is bound to be a new-found need for training the workforce to be competitively and complimentarily skilled. But the big question will be - HOW and WHERE will that trainer be sourced FROM?
Guess the time has come to seek solutions or (atleast) seek better sourcing platforms...!?!
